Weight Loss Friendly Foods

If you have made a goal to lose weight, but don't know what foods to eat, you have come to the right place. Below are 10 foods that are both good for your body and your taste buds too!

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar not only enhances the flavor of foods, but is also known as a natural remedy for some embarrassing health problems. No, you don't actually "eat" apple cider vinegar, but it is a great substitute for fattening salad dressings, and enhances the flavor of foods like tomatoes and green peppers. A teaspoon or two of apple cider vinegar will provide plenty of flavor.

2. Juice

Juice is a great alternative to soda pop, and is very friendly to your taste buds. Try not to drink too much juice, since it will contain natural sugars, and you should definitely avoid juice containing high fructose corn syrup, so make sure to read the label.

3. Tuna

Tuna is very low in fat, and very high in protein. You can now buy it in a "pouch", so you won't have to worry about draining the can and stinking up your hands. Make sure to avoid tuna in oil, as it contains lots of fat!

4. Apple Sauce

Apple sauce is a great low calorie snack, and it is definitely not hard on your taste buds. Make sure to avoid apple sauces with added high fructose corn syrup or other sugars

5. Frozen Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts

Chicken breasts are a great source of protein, and are very flavorful as well, particularly when consumed with moderate amounts of barbecue sauce. One thing to watch out for, however, is sodium - the less sodium the better, so make sure to read the label.

6. Pasta

Pasta products have very low amounts of fat, and are very flavorful as well. However, some pasta sauces aren't very healthy, so make sure to stay away from pasta sauces with lots of sugar and fat.

7. Low Fat Cottage Cheese

Technically speaking, it is better to use non fat cottage cheese rather than low fat cottage cheese, but the latter will do when you want something to eat that has a lot of flavor without a lot of fat.

8. Oranges

When was the last time you had an orange? Oranges are loaded with Vitamin C, and are also loaded with flavor!

9. Egg Whites

Loaded with protein, and zero fat - at least if you are able to keep the yoke out of the picture.

10. Salsa

Great tasting condiment that goes fantastic with egg whites!

For more information about how to lose weight, I'd recommend checking out Tom Venuto's Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle or Fat Loss 4 Idots.

Both programs are great for losing weight and teach similar weight loss principals, but Burn the Fat Feed The Muscle is a lot more detailed, while Fat Loss 4 Idiots is more bried and to the point. There is a reason they call it the "idiot proof diet"...because anyone can do it!
